Subscription Fee Structure
Subscription fees are settled through our contracted SagePay SA system called BillDozer. The debit order mandate application form for activation of your account with Matric Works is available on the Subscription page and will be processed through Billdozer administered by SagePay, our preferred accounts administrator.
Each Subject will have a separate subscription fee. The subscription fees are published and updated on the payment portal page which you will find on our webpage.
The subscription fee for each Subject can be settled in two different ways:
- A once-off deposit of the total amount for all Subjects effected through the Sage Pay online payment portal; or
- A monthly debit order of equal instalments from your account, beginning from the date of activation of your account and collected every month for either 6 (six) or 10 (ten) consecutive months, processed through the Sage Pay online payment portal.
The date of the first debit order deduction from your account will be within 2-3 working days from registration or subscription, and then on the selected date of each month for the next consecutive five or nine months depending on the period selected.
The subscription fee structure described above will apply for each Subject that you choose.
· If you choose to subscribe for six Subjects and each subject costs R1 200.00*, your subscription fee will be R7200.00 (seven thousand two hundred rand), which is six times multiple of R1 200.00*.
o If you elect to use the once-off subscription fee structure, an amount of R7 200.00 will have to be paid using any one of the various methods via SagePay payment portal.
o If you choose the 10 month debit order mandate, an amount of R720.00 (six times R120.00) will be deducted from your account, the first being within 2-3 working days and then each month for 9 consecutive months on the date you have selected (either 1st, 15th or 26th).
* Note that this is an example of a subscription fee. The actual subscription fee per Subject is published on our website.
If you intend writing the Final Exams for a particular Subject that you have selected, you must ensure that you have settled the full subscription cost for that particular Subject.
Missing a debit order
If you choose to make use of the monthly debit order method to settle the Subject subscription fee, you must make sure that you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the amount of the debit order on the debit order date.
After the initial upfront debit order instruction, the subsequent debit order deductions will take place on the date selected (either 1st, 15th or 26th) of each month. If you do not have sufficient funds in your account on the first day of the month, the debit order will be rejected by your bank. We will notify you by short message service (“sms”) that your debit order has been rejected.
We will resubmit the debit order instruction to your bank to deduct the monthly debit order amount from your bank account on the 15th day of that same month. You must make sure that you have sufficient funds in your account on the 15th day of the month so that the debit order can be processed successfully.
Should the second attempt to process the monthly debit order instruction on the 15th day of the month not be successful, we will suspend your access to the Subject content. To reactivate your access to Matric Works, you will need to make a direct deposit of the outstanding monthly subscription fee into the Matric Works bank account or utilise the SagePay PayNow service (information appears on each invoice) to deposit the outstanding funds and send us a proof of payment by email or facsimile. Upon receipt of your proof of deposit we will reactivate your access to the Subject Study Material.
When you subscribe for a Subject and either settle the subscription fee in a single transaction, or by debit order within the 6 or 10 months, you will have access to the Study Material provided by Matric Works for a continuous period of 3 years from the date of activation of your account with us.
Your access begins on the activation date of your access and extends for three years (the “Term”). During the Term, you will have access to the Study Material for each Subject that you subscribe for, provided you have paid the subscription fee for the Subject as set out above.
If you choose to pay your subscription fees by way of debit order, you may cancel your access at any time. You must notify us by email, facsimile or in writing if you intend to cancel your access. All cancellations are processed immediately followed by an email confirmation that gets sent to you within 24 business hours. The cancellation will become effective at the date that the next debit order is due to be processed. When you cancel your access, we will delete all your personal information from our systems immediately after the effective date of the cancellation.
We also reserve the right to cancel your access for any reason, including, without limitation for lack of use or if we believe, for good reason that you have violated the letter or spirit of the T&C’s. We will not be liable to you or any third-party for the cancellation of your access or deletion of your account.
All payments for subscription to Matric Works are non-refundable. If you can give us good reason for a refund, we will consider your reasons, and entirely at our own discretion, make a decision whether or not to grant you a refund.
Matric Works uses Sage Pay SA technology to process any subscription fees from your bank account.
